It was OK. Would I go out of the way if invited, yes. Would I recommend it to my foodie friends, probably not. We were hoping for more Persian/Mediterranean dishes. My wife said the Branzino was good.

My fiancée and I toured BoujieMana a couple of weeks ago while looking for a venue for our pre-wedding lunch for approximately 50 guests. We absolutely loved the restaurant, the ambiance, and the space, and the pricing we were given was actually below our budget. We left the tour feeling very excited about potentially having our event there. We were told that the event coordinator, Nikki Arnold, would contact us the very next day with additional information so we could move forward. Unfortunately, we never heard from her.

What a restaurant like this in San Diego takes on
A restaurant of this kind runs a full kitchen and a bar under one roof. BoujieMana says its menus cover brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks. The kitchen turns out handmade pasta, seafood and wood-fired dishes, per the company's own description.
The bar pours craft cocktails and a chosen list of wines, the company says. It also hosts private events and celebrations. Its website describes a monthly calendar of special evenings and holiday brunches.
San Diego had 1,406,106 residents in 2025, per the Census Bureau, and sits in San Diego County. Utility gas heats 51 percent of homes in the city, per the American Community Survey for 2024.
Where BoujieMana puts its work
The company names business lunches, date nights and group dining as the occasions it is built for. Its story page says the culinary team pairs traditional Mediterranean techniques with sustainably sourced San Diego ingredients. The site reports that the team brings decades of high-end kitchen experience.
The name has two halves, the website states. Boujie stands for refined, upscale dining. Mana stands for the gratitude and satisfaction of a shared meal.
Chef Nikki is named as the creative lead behind the kitchen. The restaurant's press page lists a Readers' Choice Favorite mention in Ranch & Coast Best Restaurants 2026.
BoujieMana holds a 4.7 rating across 373 reviews. Reviewers most often mention the hummus with house-made pita, the truffle pasta, the ribeye and the chocolate budino, along with the service and the look of the room. Not every visit drew full marks: one reviewer hoped for more Persian and Mediterranean dishes on the menu.
For private events, the company says a host first fills out an occasion form on its website. Its events team then reaches out to help plan the gathering in one of its signature spaces.
